Due to continued growth in their client base, this large independent accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their talented general practice team in Warrington.

This is a great opportunity to work closely with Managers and Partners, develop your technical skills and take the next step in a firm known for promoting from within.

Accounts Senior — The Role

Your non-audit client base will consist mainly of family and owner-managed businesses across a wide range of industries and sectors in the North West. You will work directly with business owners, helping them with day-to-day challenges and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing statutory year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

Preparing corporation tax computations and returns

Running your own jobs from start to finish and liaising directly with clients and their staff

Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing on-the-job support and training

Assisting Managers with client planning and closing meetings

Identifying opportunities to add value for clients beyond compliance

Accounts Senior — About You

ACA / ACCA newly qualified or finalist

Experience preparing year-end accounts within a practice environment

Confident communicating with clients and keen to develop supervisory skills
